Why Is Church Membership So Important?
The Bible talks about how important it is for Christians to live their lives together with other Christians (Hebrews 10:24-25). One of the most important things about us, is that God did not make us to live isolated lives. Instead, God calls us to live life in the context of community. Christian community helps us fight sin, grow in grace, deal with suffering and discouragement, grow in our ability to serve, worship, and so much more (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 3:12-14).
Our church is a group of people who: (1) believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, (2) commit to one another in membership, (3) gather together regularly to sing, pray, and hear God’s Word and be reminded of the gospel through Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Our church is a family, and we are excited to have you be a part of it. We are glad you are here, and eager to see the good things the Lord will do in our lives together as we commit to live it with one another.
WHY WRIGHTSBORO BAPTIST?
Since our founding, Wrightsboro Baptist Church has been sharing and showing the gospel of Jesus Christ to Wilimington and the surrounding communities. Our Vision and Mission is to Develop Disciples for Deployment! We accomplish this through what we call our “Discipleship Diamond.” The discipleship diamond is a series of four classes that take you through the discipleship process of becoming a disciple who in turn makes other disciples and thus fulfilling the mandate that Jesus gave to His church.
At Wrightsboro Baptist, we believe in a multi-generational pursuit of godliness. Here you will find sound, Biblical teaching and preaching, gospel-centered programs and activities for all ages, a variety of ministry and discipleship opportunities, and dynamic worship. No matter your season of life, your area of town, or your faith background, we have a place for you!
