Ladies’ EAGLES Life Group
Janet Smithey -Co-Teacher
Janet has been a member of Wrightsboro Baptist Church (WBC) for 35 years, and a follower of Christ for 54 years. She has been teaching Bible Study classes and small groups for 20+ years (children, youth, and adults). Janet also serves as the Bible Study Director for Sunday morning life groups and has served in women’s and children’s ministries, on many committees, and helped with special events during her time at WBC.
Janet is retired from full time work as a nurse. She has 3 adult children and 3 step children. She and her husband share 10 grandchildren. She enjoys family time, traveling, the beach, nature walks, and doing missions. She feels that teaching small group Bible Studies is rewarding because it requires her to study God’s Word in depth. Janet likes to share what she learns with her class, and learn from them as well. She enjoys the loving, prayerful support and fellowship of the ladies’ EAGLES class.
Gail Jernigan -Co-Teacher
Gail has been a member of Wrightsboro Baptist Church (WBC) and a follower of Christ for 32+ years. She has been teaching Bible Study classes/groups for 30+ years (children, youth, and adults). Gail is active in the music ministry, singing in choir, as well as participating in drama for special events. She has served in women’s ministries, on committees, and has helped with special outreach events at WBC.
Gail is married to Cliff, who is actively serving at WBC as well. They have 2 grown children and 1 grandchild. She enjoys fishing, camping, and playing pickle ball. She is retired from the New Hanover County Health Department. Gail feels teaching small group Bible Studies is rewarding because it encourages her to study God’s Word more. She also loves getting to know the ladies in the small group, through fellowship and doing missions together. Gail likes to encourage and pray with the ladies in the good times and through trials.
