Bill White studies Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness and His repeated response: “It is written”—or, “The Bible says.” Jesus identifies with human temptation yet defeats Satan by applying Scripture correctly. Believers are called to recognize God’s way of escape, resist the devil, read Scripture in context, and prepare biblical answers for difficult cultural questions.
