Pastor Eddie Eaton teaches Jesus’ promise of unfailing and lasting joy in John 16:16-33. The disciples’ grief at Jesus’ death will be turned to joy by His resurrection, a joy no one can take away. Jesus also invites them to ask the Father in His name, assures them of the Father’s love, and gives peace in the face of scattering, suffering, and tribulation. Because Christ has overcome the world, believers can live with courageous joy even when circumstances remain painful.
