Spiritual Gifts — Part 2
Pastor Eddie Eaton continues the Corinthians series with a study of the sign gifts in 1 Corinthians 12:9–10: gifts of healings, the working of miracles, and prophecy. He explains that every spiritual gift is given by the Holy Spirit for the common good and the building up of Christ’s church—not as a badge of personal importance. Comparing continuationist and cessationist understandings, he surveys biblical examples of healing, miracles, and prophetic ministry and emphasizes that God still heals, works miracles, and speaks through His completed Word. The message closes with the gospel: salvation in Jesus Christ is the greatest healing and miracle.
Key points:
• Spiritual gifts are Spirit-given abilities used to serve others and build up the church.
• Healings, miracles, and prophecy authenticated God’s messengers and advanced the gospel.
• Scripture is complete, yet God remains sovereign and active in healing, miracles, conviction, and salvation.
• Every gift and every work of the Spirit points people to Jesus Christ.
