Loving Our Neighbor
Jesus teaches that loving God and loving our neighbor cannot be separated. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, our neighbor is the person in need whom God places before us—regardless of background or difference. The church is called to follow Jesus by seeing people, responding with compassion, meeting spiritual and physical needs, and crossing barriers with practical mercy. The world recognizes Christ’s disciples by their love.
