Missions and the Missional Church

Dr. Michael Cloer contrasts a maintenance-centered church with a missional church shaped by the Great Commission. He explains the unfinished task of reaching every people group, names lostness as the world’s greatest problem, and traces the missionary pattern in Scripture. Using Jesus’ picture of sowing and harvest and Paul’s first missionary journey, he outlines six movements of the core missionary task: entry, evangelism, discipleship, church formation, leadership development, and exit.
